OBERLIN, Ohio - The Adrian College women's volleyball team wrapped up play at the Oberlin Invitational on Saturday afternoon, falling in straight sets to both Grove City College and Oberlin College.
Match 1:
In their opening match against Grove City, the Bulldogs battled hard but came up just short. Adrian kept the first set close before dropping it 25–20, followed by a narrow 25–23 loss in the second. Despite the setback, Megan Feldmann paced the offense with nine kills, while Kora Nicolanti and Avery O'Shaughnessy each added six.
Grove City pulled away in the third set to secure the sweep, but Adrian had strong individual performances throughout. Chloe Kiser and Emma Leinberger distributed the offense evenly with 12 assists apiece, Nicolanti anchored the defense with a team-high eight digs, and Kayla Chan made her presence felt at the net with two blocks.
Match 2:
In their final match of the Invitational, the Bulldogs squared off against host Oberlin College in a hard-fought five-set battle. Adrian dropped the opening set 25–21 but responded with resilience, evening the match with a 25–23 victory in the second. The momentum swung back and forth as Oberlin claimed the third set 25–14, only for the Bulldogs to rally once again, forcing a decisive fifth set with a strong fourth-set win. Ultimately, Oberlin held on to take the match with a 15–9 decision in the final frame.
Virginia Rowan led the Bulldogs' attack with nine kills, while Megan Feldmann was close behind with eight. Setter Chloe Kiser guided the offense with a team-high 14 assists, with Kendall Sullivan adding 11. Defensively, Rainie Atherton anchored the back row with nine digs, while Kiser and Rowan chipped in eight apiece to round out a balanced team effort.

The Bulldogs are back in action on Saturday, September 13 where they will host Lawrence Tech for their home opener at 1:00 PM.
