ADRIAN, Mich. – The NCVF Club Volleyball team competed in their annual Adrian College Tournament over the weekend where they picked up three wins out of the four contests.
In the opening match, the Bulldogs faced a tough Saginaw Valley State squad and dropped the match in two sets. However, Adrian quickly bounced back, dominating the University of Michigan-Flint in straight sets for a convincing 2-0 win.
Fueled by momentum, the Bulldogs had a chance at redemption in a rematch with Saginaw Valley and they delivered. Adrian took the match in two decisive sets. The tournament finale saw the Bulldogs face Michigan-Flint once again, and they duplicated their earlier success with another 2-0 sweep.
The team was firing on all cylinders.
Kennedy Ross served up six aces and added 28 digs and 29 kills to her stellar stat line.
Rylee Sinden was close behind with five aces of her own. On defense,
Jersey Patton anchored the back row with an impressive 33 digs. At the net, Ross and
Madison Ritchie were forces to be reckoned with, posting seven and five blocks, respectively. Richie also contributed 25 kills on the day.
Lindsay Bergman commanded the offense, dishing out an outstanding 70 assists to guide the Bulldogs' attack.
Adrian finishes the spring season with an overall record of 7-10
