UNIVERSITY CENTER, MICH. – The Adrian College Club Volleyball team competed at the Saginaw Valley Tournament this past weekend, finishing with two wins, one loss, and one tie.
The Bulldogs started strong, sweeping Washtenaw Community College 2-0 in their opening match. They continued their momentum in the second match, taking down the University of Michigan-Flint with another 2-0 victory. In their third match, Adrian battled hard against Saginaw Valley State University, resulting in a 1-1 tie. The Bulldogs faced Wayne State University in their final game, narrowly falling 1-2.
Junior Kennedy Ross led the Bulldogs in kills, recording an impressive 16 throughout the tournament. Freshman Delaney Cousino was pivotal in the offense, tallying a team-high 45 assists, while freshman Jersey Patton anchored the defense, amassing 45 digs over the weekend.
The Bulldogs will head to the University of Notre Dame this Saturday for their next competition.
