ADRIAN, Mich. – The Adrian College men's volleyball team opened up MCVL conference play on Friday night as they hosted the University of Mount Union Purple Raiders. Mount Union went on to take the match and win, 3-1.
Adrian dropped the first 25-17 after struggling with just seven kills. The Bulldogs bounced back and took the second set, 25-21. Adrian totaled 14 kills in the second set to go with a .258 hitting percentage, a pair of blocks, and two service aces. Mount Union came back in the third after a 25-21 battle with Adrian totaling 12 kills and a hitting percentage of .273. Mount Union went on to take the fourth set 25-17 and win the match.
Sam Landers led the Bulldogs with 13 kills on the afternoon with two blocks and two aces. Andrew Graczyk recorded 37 assists while Landers led the team with ten digs.
Adrian will return to action tomorrow afternoon when they host nationally ranked Baldwin Wallace University at 12:00 PM.
