Coach Matt Gipple comes from a very strong athletic background from both college and high school.
Coach Gipple came to Adrian College last season, where he mentored a long jumper to a school record as
she became an Outdoor All-American.
In high school, Coach Gipple was an outstanding Football player and Track and Field athlete, where he
achieved All-State status in both sports. In High School, Gipple broke several School and Conference
records.
Collegiately, Gipple was a standout student-athlete in the NAIA. Gipple holds the school record in the
100m and Indoor and Outdoor Long Jump. Gipple barely missed qualifying for the 2026 USATF National
Championships with a personal best jump of 25’ 4”.
Coach Gipple has been coaching collegiate Track and Field for 3 years. During this short time, Gipple
coached 20 National Championship qualifiers, 3 All-Americans, 5 Conference Champions, 12 School
records, and 22 All-Conference athletes. Gipple’s current coaching responsibilities are not limited to;
sprints, horizontal jumps, hurdles, and sprint relays
In his free time, Gipple enjoys training, competing, hunting, and spending time with his family.
