Dr. Kyle Griffith joins the Adrian College football program bringing more than 30 years of coaching, educational, and leadership experience at the K–12 and collegiate levels.
A graduate of Siena Heights University, Dr. Griffith was a standout collegiate track and field athlete, holding four school records and earning the Thomas Emmett Outstanding Student-Athlete Award. While completing his undergraduate degree, he served on football coaching staffs led by Michigan Hall of Fame coaches, gaining valuable experience in collegiate football.
Throughout his career in K–12 education as a teacher, principal, assistant superintendent, and superintendent, Dr. Griffith remained active in football coaching. At Morenci Area Schools, he served as a position coach and was part of a program that achieved Michigan state runner-up status. He later served as a defensive coordinator, leading a defense that ranked among the top defensive units in the state of Michigan. Following his high-school coaching career, Dr. Griffith continued his involvement in collegiate football as a football recruiter for Ave Maria University.
Dr. Griffith currently serves as a professor in the Adrian College Teacher Education Department. He earned his doctorate in Educational Leadership from Northcentral University and joined Adrian College in the fall of 2022 after more than three decades of experience in K–12 education.
During his first year at Adrian College, Dr. Griffith played a key role in developing the college's Master's degree program in Educational Leadership, with its first graduates completing the program in 2026. In 2024, he was recognized by Adrian College students as the college's “Favorite Professor.”
In addition to his teaching responsibilities, Dr. Griffith serves as Director of the Institute for Education, an advisor for Alpha Tau Omega, and contributes to several Adrian College committees and initiatives.
Dr. Griffith and his wife, Amy, reside in Blissfield, Michigan. They are the parents of four children, including three who are triplets.
Dr. Griffith is excited to bring his experience as an educator, administrator, recruiter, and coach to the Adrian College football program and looks forward to contributing to the development of student-athletes both on and off the field.
