Kirk Richards is in his inaugural season as Director of Men’s and Women’s Track and Field and Cross
Country at Adrian College.
Coach Richards comes to AC with 17 years of collegiate coaching to his credit.
Before his arrival at the previous institution, their track and field program finished Top 10 seven times.
During Coach Richards' tenure, the Men’s and Women’s Track and Field program achieved eighteen Top
10 finishes at the Indoor and Outdoor National Championships.

Richards gives all credit to the student-athletes. “Without the athlete’s hard work, commitment and
accountability to themselves and their team, none of their positive results would occur.” He is also
thankful for coaching in the high school ranks where fundamentals are paramount.
Coach Richards has four Children: Ben, Charlie, Joe and Andrea. All were successful student-athletes at
the collegiate level. Richards enjoys spending time with his four grandchildren: Evelyn, Katherine,
Jackson and Grant.
In his off-time, Richards can be found reading, golfing, fishing, and is still a big fan of his kids' and
grandkids' activities. He is a graduate of Mott Community College and Oakland University.
