Brenden Stanko '22 joins the staff of the Adrian College Men's ACHA Division 1 hockey team for his first season as a Volunteer Assistant Coach in 2025-2026.
Stanko is a 2023 graduate of the program, having played five seasons for the MD1 Bulldogs from 2018-2023. The Howell native returns to the Bulldogs after playing two seasons of professional hockey post-graduation, where he spent time with the Roanoke Rail Yard Dawgs of the SPHL and the Binghamton Black Bears of the FPHL after his Bulldog tenure had finished. As a member of the Bulldogs, Stanko registered 82 goals and 115 assists for 197 points over five years on the team, placing him fourth all-time in career points for the program. He was a member of the 2021 National Championship squad and was named the 2019 GLCHL Conference Rookie of the Year.
In 2022, Stanko graduated from AC with his Bachelor's Degree in Business Management and then returned to the college in 2023 for his fifth season of ACHAÂ hockey eligibility and to embark on his MBAÂ journey. Stanko intends to graduate from AC once again, this time with his Master's in Business Administration in the spring of 2026.
