ADRIAN, Mich. – The Adrian College men's volleyball team secured a conference victory over Mount St. Joseph on Saturday morning, sweeping the Lions in straight sets, 25-14, 26-24, and 25-21. Prior to the match, Adrian honored its Senior Class of 2026 with a pre-match ceremony.
The Bulldogs came out strong in the opening set, recording 15 kills with just three errors for an impressive .480 hitting percentage. Adrian continued its efficiency in the second set, tallying 10 kills against only two errors for a .286 mark, before closing the match with a .308 hitting percentage in the third set behind 12 kills and four errors.
As a team, the Bulldogs totaled 37 kills with only nine errors on 79 attempts, finishing with a .354 hitting percentage.
Sam Landers led Adrian with 11 kills, followed by nine from Marc Solans and seven from Dominic Rees. At the net, Carson Bell, David Cauley, and William Morris each recorded four blocks. Marco Gomez paced the defense with 11 digs, while Garrett Leaver dished out 14 assists and Andrew Graczyk added 11.
With the win, Adrian improves to 9-11 overall and 2-4 in MCVL play. The Bulldogs return to action on Wednesday, March 25, traveling to Hiram College for a non-conference match scheduled for 7:00 p.m.
