ADRIAN, Mich. -- The Adrian College men's volleyball team battled through a tightly contested match to defeat Greenville in five sets (23-25, 25-17, 22-25, 25-19, 15-13) on Tuesday evening at the Merillat Center.

After dropping the opening set 25-23, Adrian responded with a strong second frame. The Bulldogs hit .300 in the set while holding Greenville to .139 to even the match at one set apiece with a 25-17 victory.

Greenville regained the advantage in the third set, edging Adrian 25-22, but the Bulldogs answered again in the fourth. Adrian produced one of its most efficient offensive sets of the night, hitting .316 while committing just one error to claim a 25-19 win and force a decisive fifth set.

The Bulldogs carried that momentum into the final frame. Adrian hit .400 in the set and held off a late Greenville push to secure the 15-13 victory and the 3-2 match win.
