ANGOLA, Ind. -- The Adrian College men's volleyball team was defeated on the road Wednesday night, falling 3–1 to Trine University at Hershey Hall. The Bulldogs dropped the match by set scores of 25–21, 25–14, 23–25, and 25–20.

Adrian opened the contest battling through a competitive first set but was unable to close late, as Trine edged out a 25–21 decision. The Thunder carried momentum into the second set, capitalizing on runs at the service line to take a 25–14 advantage and move ahead 2–0 in the match.

The Bulldogs responded in the third set with their strongest offensive performance of the night, hitting .311 as a team. Adrian controlled the frame behind balanced attacking and steady defense to earn a 25–23 win and keep the match alive.

In the fourth set, Adrian stayed within striking distance, but Trine used efficient offense and timely blocks to pull away late and secure the 25–20 victory, closing out the match.

Sam Landers led Adrian with 15 kills, while Dominic Rees added 12 kills and three total blocks. William Morris posted an efficient night at the net, recording eight kills on 14 swings for a .500 hitting percentage. Andrew Graczyk anchored the offense with 26 assists, while Rolen Maclin led the Bulldogs defensively with 16 digs.

Adrian finished the match with 50 kills and 49 digs as the team looks ahead to its home tri-match against Maranatha Baptist University and Hiram Saturday. First match set to start at 10:00 AM.
