ALBION, Mich. – The Adrian College women's basketball team saw its season come to an end Saturday afternoon with a 69-55 road loss to Albion College.
The Bulldogs trailed just 29-24 at halftime in a tightly contested first half. Adrian shot 32.4% from the field, while Albion connected at a 41.3% clip. Ashlyn Moorhead led the Bulldogs with five first-half points, while Ava Schultz, Morgan Babb, and Hannah Lisch each added four.
Adrian improved offensively in the second half, shooting 40% from the floor, but struggled from beyond the arc, hitting just one three-pointer (14.3%). Babb paced the team with 10 second-half points, while Lisch contributed seven. Defensively, the Bulldogs had difficulty protecting the paint, as the Britons scored 32 of their second-half points inside.
Babb finished with a team-high 12 points and added eight rebounds. Lisch followed with 11 points, and Aubrie Ickes chipped in 10. Darby Lienerth recorded six rebounds in the contest.
The Bulldogs conclude the season with a 9-16 overall record and a 5-11 mark in Michigan Intercollegiate Athletic Association play, finishing seventh in the conference standings. Adrian will return to action next November, looking to build toward the 2026-27 campaign.
