SOUTH BEND, Ind. -- The Adrian College men's rugby team competed at the Notre Dame Fighting Irish 7's Tournament on Saturday in South Bend, finishing as the Bowl Champions as part of the 7th place bracket.
The Bulldogs opened action with a 26-17 loss to Wheeling University, sending them to the Bowl Bracket to compete for 7th place and the Bowl Championship.
After that initial loss to Wheeling, the Bulldogs defeated the University of Rio Grande, 17-14, and gained a flurry of momentum for the remainder of the day as Adrian was then victorious over Harvard University (28-0) and the University of Michigan (29-7) to claim the Bowl Championship victory.
