COLUMBUS, Ohio - The Adrian College women's basketball team traveled to Ohio Dominican University on Tuesday afternoon for a non-conference exhibition matchup.
The Bulldogs came out strong to open the game, knocking down shots early to build a small lead. Ohio Dominican responded with a run of its own, however, as Adrian found itself trailing by six points at the end of the first quarter. The Panthers carried that momentum into the second quarter, while the Bulldogs struggled to find their rhythm offensively. Adrian went into halftime facing a 33–19 deficit.
In the second half, the Bulldogs showed resilience, putting together a strong run to cut into the lead. Despite the surge, Adrian still trailed heading into the fourth quarter. The Bulldogs continued to battle until the final buzzer, but Ohio Dominican held on to secure a 60–46 victory.
Adrian shot 37 percent from the field, 16 percent from three-point range, and went 6-of-11 from the free-throw line. Aubrie Ickes led the Bulldogs with 13 points and added eight rebounds, while Morgan Babb contributed 10 points, seven rebounds, and two assists.
Up Next: The Bulldogs are back in action on Saturday, January 3 where they will host MIAA opponent Albion College inside the Merillat Sport and Fitness Center. Tip-off is scheduled for 3:00 PM.
