ADRIAN, Mich. — The Adrian College men's soccer team advanced to the MIAA Tournament semifinals with a 2–1 victory over Kalamazoo in Saturday's quarterfinal matchup at Docking Stadium.

The Bulldogs came out strong and struck first in the 17th minute when Bryan Baker found the back of the net off a feed from Kyle Jennings to give Adrian the early lead. The home side doubled its advantage shortly after halftime when an own goal by the Hornets in the 51st minute pushed the score to 2–0.

Kalamazoo got on the board in the 69th minute when they converted a penalty kick to make it 2–1, but Adrian's defense held firm the rest of the way. Goalkeeper Eli Sizemore was sharp in net, making six saves to preserve the win.

With the victory, Adrian improves to 6–12–1 on the season and moves on to face the top-seeded Hope College in the MIAA semifinals Wednesday at Hope.
