Notre Dame, Ind. - The Adrian College women's volleyball team traveled to Saint Mary's College on Wednesday night for a hard-fought MIAA matchup that went the distance.

From the opening serve, it was a back-and-forth battle. Saint Mary's took the first set 25-19 before the Bulldogs responded with a gritty 25-23 win in the second. Adrian kept the momentum rolling in the third, edging out a 26-24 victory to take a 2–1 lead.

The Belles rallied in the fourth to even things up with a 25-17 win, forcing a decisive fifth set. Despite a strong effort, the Bulldogs came up just short in the final frame, falling 15-12 in a closely contested finish.

Megan Feldmann led the way offensively with a season-high 15 kills, while Khloe Budzynski added a season-best 12. Emma Leinberger paced the Bulldogs' attack with 27 assists, and Chloe Kiser chipped in four more.

Defensively, Rainie Atherton anchored the back row with a team-high 18 digs, followed by Kora Nicolanti with 17 and Leinberger with 14.

Up Next: The Bulldogs return to action on Wednesday, November 5, hitting the road for the final time this season as they travel to Kalamazoo College. First serve is set for 6:30 PM.
