ADRIAN, Mich. -- The Adrian College NCAA women's hockey team brought home another NCHA Slaats Cup Championship on Saturday night with a 2-0 shutout over St. Norbert College. The Bulldogs scored a goal in the first period and didn't score again until an empty net goal at the end of the third.

Callie Wollschlager started the scoring the first period on assists from
Tia Lascelle and
Nicole Pietrucha. The Adrian lead held at 1-0 through the end of the first, the entire second period, and most of the third when St. Norbert was forced to pull its goaltender. The Bulldogs went on to score an empty net goal by
Maya Roy to seal the win.

Michaela O'Brien finished the game with 22 saves in goal for the Bulldogs to earn her second shutout of the Slaats Cup Playoffs.

Michaela O'Brien were named to the NCHA Slaats Cup All-Tournament Team while O'Brien was named the NCHA Slaats Cup Tournament MVP.

This marks the second straight Slaats Cup Championship for Adrian and ninth in program history.
