ADRIAN, Mich. – The Adrian College NCAA women's hockey team completed the sweep over Aurora University on Saturday afternoon with a 5-0 victory.
Annie Gilbert picked up a shutout in goal while
Sydnie Crockett and
Tia Lascelle each had two-goal performances.
Adrian jumped out to a 2-0 lead in the first period. Lascelle started the scoring for the Bulldogs which was followed up by another goal 14 seconds later. Crockett scored her first career goal to lead 2-0 on passes from
Lindsey Sorrell and
Annika Hanson.
In the second period, Crockett scored her second of the game to lead 3-0. With less than a minute to go in the period, Lascelle found the back of the net on a power play to pull ahead 4-0.
Jocelin Hudanish scored in the third period to go up 5-0.
Sorrell and
Courtney Ben each totaled two assists on the afternoon. Gilbert picked up another win in goal for Adrian with a 25-save afternoon.
The Bulldogs improve to 5-1-1 on the season and increase their winning streak to four games. Adrian returns to action next weekend when they host Oswego State on Friday, November 24 at 5PM followed by game two on Saturday and 1PM.
