NOTRE DAME, IN. – The Adrian College women's volleyball team traveled to Saint Mary's College on Wednesday night. The Bulldogs took the match to five sets and pulled out a gritty win, 3-2!
Adrian took the first set 25-17, but ended up losing sets two and three, 25-22 and 31-29. Adrian took back the control of the game winning the fourth set 25-21. The fifth set was won 18-16 by the Bulldogs.
Mallory Dorow was the kill leader for Adrian with 21 kills on the night.
Amber Morris added 17 and
Kayla Chan contributed 10 of her own.
Hailey Farrell totaled 54 assists through the five sets.
Hannah Sugg led the Bulldogs with four service aces.
Defensively,
Mya Minjares led all players with 25 digs followed by 15 digs coming from Farrell. Morris had 12 digs while Sugg contributed her efforts with 11. Adrian had a total of 36 blocks on the night with
Ariel Gibson leading with 12 of her own. Chan had seven blocks and
Grace Croci ended with six.
The women's volleyball team will travel to Hope College on Saturday, November 4, where they will return to action at 4:00 PM for their last regular season match!
