ADRIAN, Mich. -- The Adrian College women's volleyball hosted Olivet College on Tuesday night for a MIAA conference match up. The Bulldogs came out ahead with a 3-1 victory to snap their three match losing streak. With Tuesday's win, head Coach
David Kwan recorded his 250th career win and his 100th win at Adrian College.
The Bulldogs came out strong to start the match grabbing set one 25-14. The Bulldogs recorded 15 kills on six errors to hit for a percentage of .173. Adrian went up 2-0 winning set two 25-17 with 17 kills on two errors for a percentage of .357. Olivet bounced back in the third set and grabbed the win at 25-21. Adrian hit for a match low .154 with six errors to go with 12 kills. Adrian found it's groove again in the fourth set and made a statement with a 25-12 victory. The Bulldogs recorded 12 kills on four errors for an attack percentage of .250.
Mallory Dorow led the way with 14 kills followed by 11 from
Destiny Johnson, and 10 from
Katelyn Bergman. Bergman also recorded a team-high three blocks on the night.
Hailey Farrell collected 40 assists for Adrian, and
Mya Minjares finished with 27 digs.
Adrian will return to action with a nonconference match on Saturday, October 23 at home against Oberlin College. Start time is scheduled for 1:00 PM in the Merillat Sport and Fitness Center.
