ADA, Ohio – Cory Fox improved to 4-1 on the mound in his first season with the Adrian College baseball team in a 11-1 win at Ohio Northern on Monday in a non-conference matchup. Fox threw six innings and allowed just three hits while giving up two walks and striking out eight Polar Bears.

Eric Sims tossed two innings allowing no earned runs with a walk and three strikeouts. Austin Abbott threw a scoreless ninth and walked one with two strikeouts. Adrian jumped ahead 6-0 with a big third inning and scored in three straight innings to lead 10-0 after six innings. ONU scored their run in the eighth after Adrian led 11-0.

The Bulldogs had five doubles and a Zach Kolvey home run in the game. Ben Yax had two of those doubles and went 3-for-5 with a run scored. Sam Fischer went 2-for-3 with a double and three RBI's. Kolvey also had a double with two runs and two RBI's. R.J. Rios collected two RBI's and scored a run. Garrett Green collected a hit and scored twice with two RBI's. Adrian (21-10) returns home for a non-conference game against Siena Heights on Wednesday at 6 p.m.
